Success in Transforming to a Value-Based System

October 15, 2015 Drew Ivan

The US healthcare system is undergoing much-needed reform. Patient encounters have traditionally been considered isolated events that primarily happen when patients are sick. Consequently, healthcare in the US, from appointment-booking to medical record-keeping to billing, was built on the idea that healthcare is episodic.
