Incorporating Behavioral Health and Substance Abuse Data for Holistic Care Delivery and Population Health Outcomes

October 31, 2017

Watch this webinar on-demand and learn how behavioral health and substance abuse data help care delivery.

Behavioral health and substance abuse data have historically been excluded from health data exchanges due to strict federal guidelines. However, collecting and sharing behavioral health and substance abuse data are necessary components of population health management. With the current opiate epidemic and Outpatient Prospective Payment System (OPPS) legislation, rules for sharing this critical data are relaxing and consent best practices are emerging. This webinar is your chance to learn how the availability of this data will lead to more connected and personalized care for at-risk populations.

Speakers Laura Young, Interim Executive Director, Alaska eHealth Network, and Mary McDaniel, Healthier Populations, Orion Health, discuss:

  • Strategies used to incorporate behavioral health and substance abuse data
  • Federal funding opportunities available for qualified organizations
  • Next-generation technologies designed to support the explosion of data required for whole-person centered health
